Lochinver, located in Highland, is situated on the coast and is not far from Loch Assynt. The local area is quite popular with anglers due to the more than 200 lochans that are situated in the immediate area. The town is actually the second largest fishing port in the country. The beautiful local area is also an important draw for tourists, who come to see the spectacular nature areas. There are also several other smaller villages that are located nearby and which are definitely worth exploring. Visitors will find that reaching the town is fairly easy and that once in Lochinver, there are plenty of accommodations.
